Hello Taz,

Thank you for your interest in our products.
In case you've a big board with too many posts in it, then it's normal to get such a long delay only with the installation step, the product simply adds a new column in thread table & another in post table, that's the cause of this issue as you may guessed.
It may take a while till importing done, but if by any chance it's not done well then we've some workarounds that may help. This issue is only because of this new column add knowing that you've too many posts and can happen even with vBulletin upgrade itself if a new thread/post column add required.
And yes, vB Link Verifier Bot 4.0.138 is the right version for your vBulletin 3 board.
Please don't hesitate to ask for any assistance & we'll be happy to assist you.

Hello Taz,

Can you please tell how many posts (not threads) do you've.
Check also in a new browser window whether or not the product is installed from vBulletin AdminCP -> Products & Plugins -> Manage Products
Do you've MySQL administration skills?

Hello Taz,

30,000 posts isn't that big, and you should never face such issue. We mean by big something around one million post!
Any way, I think it will be OK if you've uninstalled the product & installed it again, it may be something with network latency that caused that delay. If you've any further issues, then please tell me & supply a screen shot of your installation process page with any info that may help.

Best Regards

Hello Taz,

Sounds great.
I wonder that you didn't see a message in your browser telling that ionCube loaders are missing. Any way I'm happy to hear that installation gone well.
Please don't hesitate to ask for further assistance.
